Yes, your hotel has undergone an examination from the association “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Selbsthilfe behinderter Menschen in Essen e.V. (Self-help Consortium for Disabled Persons in Essen)”. The signet that is awarded serves to notify persons concerned about whether a building is barrier-free (disability accessible) and will contain the necessary facilities.
All room floors can be reached barrier-free through the lifts and the door width is 0.81 m. Most rooms are equipped with a walk-in shower, among other things to make the room disability accessible. Besides that the hotel has a few rooms which have been set up in accordance with German "DIN 18025". Please contact us via rideon@pon.com if you require a room that is disability accessible.

A test ride is meant for a (short) test of a certain bike on or near the event location. There will be signposted test tracks to choose from. Test rides are available for (e-)MTB, gravel, road, city and cargo bikes.
The guided rides are organised rides with a guide in the surroundings of the event location. (Some even joined by pro riders or ambassadors). Guided rides are available for EMTB, Gravel, Trekking and Road bikes.
There is no need to register beforehand. The only thing we ask you, is to register for guided rides at the info point on the event site before the tour. Spots are limited due to the limited capacities of testbikes.
Please come to the info desk at the RideOn and choose the ride you want to join. It is important to come as early as possible to the infodesk, as slots are limited due to the limited capacity of testbikes. There is no option to reserve a bike in advance. It has to be done on site. The group rides are divided by bike category and will take place at nearly the same time. Therefore, you need to choose your category.
he group rides will take approximately 1,5 hours. More information about the difficulty of the tour will follow. If you want to take part, please register at the info desk in advance and be at the meeting point/bike rental min. 20 minutes in advance.
The group rides are categorised into different bike categories. Each ride will be suitable for a wide range of medium-level. As each ride has more than one guide, we can split up the group if the differences of skills differ too much. The rides are not suitable for first-time beginners of this category.
We kindly ask you to bring your own gear (shoes, apparel, helmet). In case you use special pedals, please also bring them. We do have helmets available in case you need one. The group rides take place at nearly the same time, so it is good to choose your category first (EMTB, gravel or road) if you want to join, so you know what to bring.
The test rides are short, but bike wear could be useful as well. A helmet is mandatory.
Yes, signing a waiver is mandatory before a test or group bike. This will be done centrally for all brands and kinds of riding upon arrival (at the info desk).
For guests joining the group rides we have (portable) showers available on site.
Yes, there is a supervised cloakroom at the event location. However, neither the location nor the organisation of RideOn can be held accountable for any loss and/or damage to your personal belongings.
Yes, there are lockers at RideOn for our guests who join the group rides so you can safely stow your clothes and other belongings during the event.
